Jedi Consular

Disclaimer: Currently the Consular is the last class to have a revamp of their class page.  They don't have a progression video released or a ship and companion announced.  Sorry for the lack of awesomeness!

Strength, poise, and wisdom.  All traits required of a Jedi Consular, one of four classes on the Republic side of Star Wars: The Old Republic.  They are born leaders, having the ability to negotiate peace through speaking or through use of their lightsaber.  Anticipating attacks from their foes, they are adept at deflection, and cunning in battle.  Seeking knowledge of all aspects of the Force, Consulars must always walk the thin line between light and darkness, for some this comes easily.  For others it is a lifelong challenge which many do not pass.

Advanced Classes

The Consular has two Advanced class trees for you to choose from once you achieve level 10.  The first of these is the Sage.  The Sage can be either a healing class or damage dealing class.  If you choose this path you will be able to follow one of two other paths.  Telekinetics will allow you to do more damage with your ranged abilities.  If you decide to become a Seer you will granted the ability to heal your friends with use of the Force.

The second of these advanced classes is the Shadow.  They have the ability to use double-bladed lightsabers, and the capability to dispatch their enemies with deadly force. By studying Infiltration, Shadows become experts of stealth combat, eliminating their foes with precise surprise attacks.  Being versed in Kinetic Combat, the Shadow's double-bladed lightsaber skills to protect themselves and any party members.

Both of these sub-specs share the Balance tree, which helps them perfect their Force and lightsaber skills for better effectiveness.  Increasing Force attacks and lightsaber abilities.

Armor

Consulars prefer to be as nimble as possible.  Instead of wearing heavy armor that one might find on a Jedi Knight, Consulars wear lighter armor.  Light robes and cloaks are the staple of a Consular; allowing ease of movement during intense battles, and comfort during tense negotiations.

Weapons

The Sage sub-class of the Consular will use a single bladed lightsaber.  It has been mentioned that Sages will use their lightsaber as a defensive measure when in combat.  Focusing more on Force based attacks or healing their party members.

The Shadow sub-class will have the ability to use double-bladed lightsabers.  Focusing on melee attacks and lightsaber abilities, the Shadow will be able to tank or be pure DPS

Companions

For now, the Consular's companions remain elusive.  We will have to speculate who or what might assist our Consular in battle.

Starship

Schematics for the Consular's mode of transportation between star systems has not been made available to us.  However if it is anything like the Sith Warrior and Sith Inquisitor, it may be the same as the Jedi Knights' Defender Starship.  Highly customizable, the Defender was commissioned specifically for Jedi, allowing them to complete some of their more unique missions.
